Teenage Nurses (1974)

Cast: Ashley Moore, Barbara Grumet, Jamie Gillis, Fred J. Lincoln, Jeffrey Hurst, Haya Landau, Janet Chambers, Laura Cannon, Levi Richards, Nancy Wang, Russ Carlson, Sandy Fox, Valerie Marron

The world's first Vaudeville/Musical/Porno Movie. Doug Collins and Avind Harum had made a hilarious but unsaleable film called, "An American in Bethesda". Viet Nam vets in the Bethesda VA Hospital are entertained by various Vaudeville performers; comedians, tap dancers, singers, Adagio Dancers with a 12 foot python, etc. During the show, the patients, including one amputee, have sex with the hospital's nurses. Doug couldn't sell this thing to anybody so Bill Markle and I bought it, added some more sex scenes, a laugh track, and sold it to Teddy and Tom, the Greeks who owned the Capri Theater as, "Teenage Nurses." Audiences were horrified, the Greeks were pissed, and Al Goldstein said the following about Teenage Nurses, "Pornography loses its innocence, and succumbs to moral rot in this puker." I thought I had died and gone to heaven. - Shaun Costello

Passions Of Carol (1975)

A sexy retelling of the Dickens holiday classic A Christmas Carol, this well-crafted adult feature stars Merrie Holiday as the mean and nasty editrix of a skin magazine who is making her poor assistant work late on Christmas Eve redoing layout designs. When she finally goes home, she's visited by the ghost of her former partner, who joins her for a rousing boink session. Then she's off to Christmas Future, where she fins herself as a skanky Times Square prostitute. Then she sees Christmas Present, where her assistant, at last home with his wife, is enjoying a tender and intimate love-making session. A very good porn adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

Sue Prentiss, R.N. (1975)

Annie Sprinkle is Sue Prentiss, R.N., one of four nurses waiting for team of divers as they emerge from the NYC sewer system after searching for alligators. (Yes, allligators.) An anonymous voice booming from an unseen helicopter keeps shouting commands to the nurses and scuba team, as clothes come off and bodies are hosed down. "Oh the humanity!" exclaims Bobby Astyr, though what he meant to say was "humiliation". Then underground explorers are zapped by ultra-violet rays. What's going on? Astyr wants to know, too. Well, the nurses are there to take a sperm count. "After diving for alligators all day," says Astyr, "I think I'll dive for muff!" The big question, however, has to do with "what they saw down there," and they're kept in porno quarantine in the meantime... and we all know what that means!

However, all the women the convicts encounter are all more than willing to help satisfy their sexual desires. We also meet the Swedish Elisa (Marina Hedman), who is living in an unhappy marriage to Oslavio, whom she married only to get Italian citizenship. Oslavio has a strange sexual fetish where he likes to play a corpse; so Elisa has to pay three prostitutes to help satisfy this fetish of his. But in spite of the good pay, the prostitutes are not too happy with this, and prefer to have lesbian orgies with Elisa instead. Meanwhile, the escaped convicts are revealed not to be convicts at all. They simply paid some guy to broadcast this information - along with their descriptions - on the radio so they can score more chicks. Wit.
