The Young Marrieds (1972)

Cast: Dick Burns, Alice Friedland, George Black, Cynthia Walker

Lost for over 40 years, Alpha Blue Archives presents notorious B-movie director Ed Wood's XXX erotic swan song, The Young Marrieds. The film is saturated with Wood's low-budget eccentricity and excess. The film triumphs as an explicit sex flick thanks to the frisky innocence of Alice Friedland in one of her few hardcore roles.

Eccentric pulp writer and director Ed Wood was famous for his low budget horror films like Planet 9 from Outer Space. He was rediscovered by many people when Tim Burton made a biopic of the director with Johnny Depp in the lead role. Towards the end of his career, Ed Wood made a few hardcore adult films that fell into obscurity until they were recently discovered and re-released.

Sizzling Summer

Release Year: 1986
Studio: VCA
Cast: Karen Summer, Desiree Lane, Don Fernando, Dan T. Mann, Francois, Jay Serling, Jimmy Star, Nick Niter, Rocky Balboa, Shone Taylor, Zebedy Colt
Genres: Feature, Classic
Video language: English

Personally I think Karen Summer really shines in this Taurus production feature, Karen was an immense talent who was made for the industry with tangible charisma, sexual know how, a wonderful attitude, a solid actress and she did translate that into her performances, this film is just one of many proofs, although this time, it''s all about Karen and no one else. It supposedly is an autobiographical picture of the real Karen Summer''s love and sex life from her high school years to the present day but I took it with a grain of salt as I think most of the people watching will as it''s difficult to prove the legitimacy or differentiate from a lot of B grade dramas. She talks to the camera as if it were the fans getting the personal inside story as she states she is greatful to her fans and she owes them. Something unusual about, "Sizzling Summer" is that is a tragic tale with a dark edge which is not really resolved in the end, unusual that is for an american porn film of that year. Doro.

Teenage Nurses (1974)

Cast: Ashley Moore, Barbara Grumet, Jamie Gillis, Fred J. Lincoln, Jeffrey Hurst, Haya Landau, Janet Chambers, Laura Cannon, Levi Richards, Nancy Wang, Russ Carlson, Sandy Fox, Valerie Marron

The world's first Vaudeville/Musical/Porno Movie. Doug Collins and Avind Harum had made a hilarious but unsaleable film called, "An American in Bethesda". Viet Nam vets in the Bethesda VA Hospital are entertained by various Vaudeville performers; comedians, tap dancers, singers, Adagio Dancers with a 12 foot python, etc. During the show, the patients, including one amputee, have sex with the hospital's nurses. Doug couldn't sell this thing to anybody so Bill Markle and I bought it, added some more sex scenes, a laugh track, and sold it to Teddy and Tom, the Greeks who owned the Capri Theater as, "Teenage Nurses." Audiences were horrified, the Greeks were pissed, and Al Goldstein said the following about Teenage Nurses, "Pornography loses its innocence, and succumbs to moral rot in this puker." I thought I had died and gone to heaven. - Shaun Costello

Spirit of Seventy Sex (1976)

If Martha Washington looked like luscious star Annette Haven, our history books would probably read like the Kama Sutra. Spirit of Seventy-Sex is a playful, tongue-in-cheeks romp backward in time, but giant steps forward in eroticism. It's a costume piece with wardrobe mostly from the Garden of Eden. Annette Haven is outrageously beautiful and maddeningly alluring, and even if this outstandingly humorous and sexy movie were filmed two centuries ago, it would still be a hit.

Well, the nurses are there to take a sperm count. "After diving for alligators all day," says Astyr, "I think I'll dive for muff!"
