Passions Of Carol (1975)

A sexy retelling of the Dickens holiday classic A Christmas Carol, this well-crafted adult feature stars Merrie Holiday as the mean and nasty editrix of a skin magazine who is making her poor assistant work late on Christmas Eve redoing layout designs. When she finally goes home, she's visited by the ghost of her former partner, who joins her for a rousing boink session. Then she's off to Christmas Future, where she fins herself as a skanky Times Square prostitute. Then she sees Christmas Present, where her assistant, at last home with his wife, is enjoying a tender and intimate love-making session. A very good porn adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

Teenage Nurses (1974)

Cast: Ashley Moore, Barbara Grumet, Jamie Gillis, Fred J. Lincoln, Jeffrey Hurst, Haya Landau, Janet Chambers, Laura Cannon, Levi Richards, Nancy Wang, Russ Carlson, Sandy Fox, Valerie Marron

The world's first Vaudeville/Musical/Porno Movie. Doug Collins and Avind Harum had made a hilarious but unsaleable film called, "An American in Bethesda". Viet Nam vets in the Bethesda VA Hospital are entertained by various Vaudeville performers; comedians, tap dancers, singers, Adagio Dancers with a 12 foot python, etc. During the show, the patients, including one amputee, have sex with the hospital's nurses. Doug couldn't sell this thing to anybody so Bill Markle and I bought it, added some more sex scenes, a laugh track, and sold it to Teddy and Tom, the Greeks who owned the Capri Theater as, "Teenage Nurses." Audiences were horrified, the Greeks were pissed, and Al Goldstein said the following about Teenage Nurses, "Pornography loses its innocence, and succumbs to moral rot in this puker." I thought I had died and gone to heaven. - Shaun Costello

Sue Prentiss, R.N. (1975)

Annie Sprinkle is Sue Prentiss, R.N., one of four nurses waiting for team of divers as they emerge from the NYC sewer system after searching for alligators. (Yes, allligators.) An anonymous voice booming from an unseen helicopter keeps shouting commands to the nurses and scuba team, as clothes come off and bodies are hosed down. "Oh the humanity!" exclaims Bobby Astyr, though what he meant to say was "humiliation". Then underground explorers are zapped by ultra-violet rays. What's going on? Astyr wants to know, too. Well, the nurses are there to take a sperm count. "After diving for alligators all day," says Astyr, "I think I'll dive for muff!" The big question, however, has to do with "what they saw down there," and they're kept in porno quarantine in the meantime... and we all know what that means!

Revelations

Release Year: 1976
Studio: Something Weird Video
Cast: Diane Glenke, Joan Devlon, Mary Jackson, Spring Finlay, Harold Black, John Seeman, Ken Scudder.
Genres: Classic
Video language: English

Once upon a time, circa 1970, B.S. (Before Silicone), sex was actually free to be enjoyed without guilt, morality or fear of a life threatening illness. It was a time of bad haircuts, bell bottoms and blue eyeliner. It was also a time of sexual awakening. A Portrait of Two Women introduces us to starlets Joan J. and Sarah L. They don't play themselves but during a Q&A they tell us their true life experiences and what makes their panties drool. Joan, a raven-haired doll with high cheekbones and a luscious figure, discusses losing her virginity and lesbianism. Sarah, an earthy type with apple pie sensuality calls herself a "puritan" then masturbates on-camera. In hardcore fantasy scenes Joan plays a secretary who makes it with her black boss. She performs fellatio on his Tootsie Roll and then he plows her loins. Afterwards she moans that she needs a woman's love which leads to a steamy Sapphic encounter. Sarah L. plays "Laura", who goes to a beauty parlor where rubber-gloved hands shampoo her love box. This paves the way for some naked acrobatics with a guy/girl combo.

Studio: SWV
Cast: Holly Bush, John Bush, Shaun Costello, Vanessa del Rio, Eberhard Ellis, Bonnie Gentrey, Leo Lovemore, Alan Marlow, Ashley Moore, Sunshine.

China Doll opens with private eye Mickey Flynn discussing New York: "In 1648, the Dutch brought it from the Indians for $20.00 in trinkets. Some say they overpaid." After first getting his balls drained by the babe he picked up the night before, the hard-boiled dick is off on a case: finding rich bitch Mrs. Muldoon's missing , Marjorie.
Uh-oh. Looks like Flynn's morning lay is, in fact, the missing Marjorie and everyone in the New York underworld is after her since she's carrying a china doll which contains a quarter-million dollars worth of "dilithium crystals."
Highlights include Vanessa del Rio, as a dancer who has hoofed her way "from Vegas to Grossinger's", demonstrating the versatility of every one her bodily orifices simultaneously. It's a three-ring circus with a dancing bear in every circle!

Experimental erotica is rare in today's porn, but back in the day, shooting on film was incredibly experimental. This is what makes Chuck Vincent's film Visions so unique.
