Madness (New Edition) DVD release date: March 2, 2009. This is a re-mastered/edited/shorter version of both original Madness movies. The 2 original movies totalled 17 scenes, but this new edition has only 9 of them.
Warning: The audio on Disc 1 is fucked.
All audio in this movie is dubbed, as in the original release. Scenes 1-4 inclusive are dubbed in English, no problems there.
However, at the start of Scene 5 (which is chapter marker 25 on the DVD), the English audio track is replaced by Italian which begins at the start of the film! So not only is English missing, but the audio is 82 minutes out of sync!
So I re-ripped Scenes 5, 6, 7 using the other available audio tracks: French, Italian, Spanish, German. These are all fine, and in sync. There is no English audio available at all. So my solution is to include Scenes 5, 6, 7 with the French audio track.
Disc 2 has 2 other scenes from the original movies, a behind the scenes film, and a Judith Fox POV scene. Dialogue on Disc 2 is English
